We love to keep it green!
Brodock is Focused on a Sustainable Future.
We are committed to protecting the earth's natural resources and maintaining an FSC® certification by participating in annual audits to ensure our compliance. The solutions we provide for our clients utilize paper with higher post-consumer recycled content, as well as paper from responsibly harvested forests
Third-generation family member Brandon Brodock oversees the company’s green initiatives. Mr. Brodock has a degree in Environmental Science from Colorado State University. His expertise and interests are in the areas of sustainable practices, investment in renewable energy, and energy conservation. Under his leadership, Brodock is currently exploring the installation of a rooftop solar system with the goal of reducing current kilowatt consumption by 40% and bringing the company’s 140,000 SF, 100-year-old-plus building into the 21st century. Preparation for this $500,000 investment will include a facility-wide energy audit, conversion to Energy-Star rated equipment, and the installation of larger windows to capitalize on natural light.
In our manufacturing efforts we strive to incorporate materials from suppliers who are environmentally-conscious, as well as to reduce waste that must be deposited – forever – back within the natural landscapes that are increasing in scarcity as each generation passes. We look for ways to reduce energy consumption and incorporate alternative energy sources through all of our processes from initial client and supplier communications to delivery of the final product. We strive to assist our customers in making low-impact design and production decisions throughout their own courses of operations. And, above all, we encourage ongoing dialogue with our stakeholders about new ways we can work together to ensure the responsible concepts of sustainability remain priorities within our value systems, and fundamental to our processes. At Brodock we are always working today for a better tomorrow.
We recycle over 600 tons of paper and 900 tons of additional plates, cardboard, and plastics each year. We recycle all solvents and inks. Brodock also refurbishes all roller cores from our presses.
